Canon W Jack Curry’s Family Tree Of Famous Stars

Canon W Jack Curry

Becoming the greatest three-point player in NBA history, surpassing a legend of the League and Hall of Famer Ray Allen is not an easy feat of success to achieve but Stephen Curry did it. He inherited his deadly accuracy from his father, the former NBA athlete Dell Curry. Will Canon W Jack Curry walk in the same footsteps as his father, will he become a world renowned chef like his mother Ayesha Curry, or will he play volleyball like his grandmother Sonya Curry? We cannot predict the future but we can take a look at this illustrious family who can influence the child.

Canon W Jack Curry’s Father, Mother, Sisters, Uncle, and Grandparents!

Father:

Stephen Curry is an American professional basketball player who represents the ‘Golden State Warriors’ in ‘NBA’. The first son of Dell Curry, considered one of the best 3-point shooters in ‘NBA’ history, Stephen has been named the best shooter by many players and analysts. He has won the “NBA Most Valuable Player Award” twice in a row, including a unanimous win, the first in “NBA” history. In four decades, he led the “Warriors” to their championships and also helped his team break the “NBA” record for most wins in a season. He earned the ‘Southern Conference Player of the Year’ title twice by setting an all-time scoring record for ‘Davidson’ and the ‘Southern Conference’. He also set the ‘NCAA’ record for most 3-pointers in a season during his sophomore year in college. Stephen Curry became the first player in the history of the “NBA” to be named the “Most Valuable Player” by unanimous vote in May 2016. With this achievement, he also made it to the list of players who have won the title during two consecutive years. Stephen was ranked 3rd by “Sports Illustrated” behind Durant and LeBron James on the “100 Best NBA Players of 2019” list. Renowned for his shooting skills, he holds the “NBA” record for most 3-pointers in a regular season, a record he himself broke twice.

A lot of it is genetics as he is the son of former NBA player Dell Curry who was known for being a good shooter and the older brother of fellow NBA point guard Seth Curry who can also shoot well. Canon seems to have the weight of these greats on his shoulders and could become even better or at least equal to his father’s prowess on the court.

Mother:

The player of the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry, has not only achieved success professionally, but also in his personal life, as he has formed a wonderful family with his wife, Ayesha, and their three children. Ayesha and Stephen, who have known each other since they were teenagers in North Carolina, celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on July 30, last year.

Ayesha Disa Curry was born on March 23, 1989 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Ayesha is an actress, cook, cookbook author, TV star, and businesswoman. Although she was born and lived in Toronto, at age 14 she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she met Stephen Curry.

The future basketball star Stephen Curry and his then girlfriend Ayesha met at a church youth group in North Carolina when they were both teenagers. However, their love story began years later when the two met in Los Angeles and later returned to Charlotte, North Carolina, where they married.

“It has been an incredible journey. I never thought of that when I met Ayesha at the end of my second year. I didn’t know where my life would take me. It’s funny…she had no basketball at all, she had no sports background and she didn’t know anything about the NBA, so we were in the dark as to not knowing what we were getting into. And every step of the way, everything that happened, we dealt with it together, and she helped us mature much faster than we expected. I think even as parents, understanding how we’re going to raise kids is not just in this crazy society that we live in, but one where we’re so visible, and people are watching every step we take, every word we say. One thing I technically regret about how quickly this all came about was when I took Riley to the podium (during the 2015 NBA Finals)”, said Steph during one interview.

Speaking of Riley, she was born after Ayesha and Stephen got married on July 30, 2011. In total they have 3 children including daughter Riley Elizabeth, who was born in 2012, their second daughter, Ryan Carson, born in 2015, and in 2018, they welcomed their third child, a son named Canon W Jack Curry. Without a doubt, family is one of the most important things in Ayesha’s life, which is why she usually shares her best moments with her husband and children with her more than 7.5 million followers on Instagram.

Sisters:

Despite the haters and their baseless comments that often belittle or criticize Steph Curry and his wife Ayesha’s relationships, the pair have given fans the delight of meeting their absolutely amazing offspring and the Currys definitely fall into that category. Proud mum Ayesha posted a photo of the perfect three-point shot the couple pulled off with their trio of incredibly beautiful children.

The eldest daughter is Riley Elizabeth Curry, the middle child is named Ryan Carson Curry, and the youngest baby is Canon W Jack Curry who is still just 3-years-old.

First of all, the two oldest daughters bear a striking resemblance to their attractive father (esp Riley), while little Canon Curry is the epitome of his mother’s look, but lighter (both in skin tone and his beautiful blonde curls). In addition, the Curries all have beautiful eyes and we’ll have to wait and see if the girls inherit their mother’s sense of style and grace as we wonder if Carson will follow in his father’s athletic footsteps on the basketball court, as well.

Perhaps the girls will play in the WNBA and the young man will become a celebrity chef or choose completely different careers.

Uncle:

Seth Curry (the brother of Steph Curry) is a perfect example of what is considered a late bloomer in the NBA, that is, someone who explodes after he has been in the league for a considerable time. His departure from Dallas to Philadelphia served to claim himself as a secondary to be reckoned with, but it has been in his transfer from the 76ers to the Nets where the Curry middleweight is reaching new heights of success.

Stephen’s deadly aim has some inheritance from his father, but the same qualities were also passed down to his brother Seth who currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets. In the very short time that Seth has been under Steve Nash’s orders, he has managed to average 47.4% on three-pointers and 80% on free throws and get 19.2 points with 50.7% shooting from the field. All this is also accompanied by 4.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

Precisely what Curry is doing best since his arrival in New York is assumed the function of full-time scorer in a team hungry for points due to his delicate situation and that is that with Kyrie Irving coming in and out of the rotation due to his unvaccinated condition, the indefinite losses of Kevin Durant, Joe Harris and Ben Simmons, the Nets desperately need someone to hang on to and fall back on when the offense stalls.

Curry has become a veteran by leading, taking responsibility and taking risks with the ball in his hands. Of all the players who have attempted more than 20 shots from mid-range in the last five games, only Ish Smith and LaMarcus Aldridge have had a better percentage, the shooting guard amassing a brilliant 59.1% from midfield. Plus, when it comes to jump shots, it does not end there as the Nets player is the second with the best field goal percentage, only surpassed by DeMar DeRozan, signing 48.3%.

Because his understanding of the game is very similar to Nash’s, Seth Curry’s integration into the Nets has been instant and the brother of Steph Curry is always looking to flow, finding the best shooting position and taking advantage of the movement to punish defenses, just like his elder brother. For example, adding the dribbling and his off-the-ball game were already presented as one of the best in the entire NBA for finding free shots. Not only that he knows how to manage that hard-earned lead (Curry has assumed the role of playmaker and executor in the direct block, representing almost 30% of his attacks since he arrived with the Nets). This takes Seth into a different category.

A very similar display to the one seen in Philadelphia, but raising his productivity to 1.17 points per possession, we often undermine his spotlight because of his brother’s prowess but Seth Curry is one of the shooting guards who are so valuable as the arrival of Seth has served to change the dynamic of a team that was in danger of drifting without the presence of its main star. Not just Brooklyn but his future team (if he changes or gets trades) will need someone like Seth Curry.

Grandfather:

Dell Curry, who is Canon Curry’s grandfather, played for four seasons with the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Hokies, in which he averaged 19.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. In 2006 he was honored as an Atlantic Coast Conference Legend after his retirement.

In terms of his professional career, Canon’s grandpa was chosen 15th in the 1986 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz, where he only played one season, playing very few minutes. He was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where, despite ostensibly improving his statistics, Canon’s grandpa was included in the expansion draft the following season, being selected by the Charlotte Hornets. There he spent most of his professional life, where despite coming off the bench, his figures were good enough to be chosen, in 1994, as the Best Sixth Man in the NBA.

Stephen Curry is ofcourse known globally as the best shooter in NBA history. His brother, Seth Curry, is the active player with the best 3-point percentage in the entire league. So when they say that aim is in the blood they are not wrong. They really aren’t wrong, because their father, ‘Dell’ Curry, was also a basketball player in the NBA and he was also an excellent long-range shooter.

Wardell Stephen Curry was 22 years old when he was drafted by the Utah Jazz in 15th place in the 1986 NBA Draft. He spent four years playing for Virginia Tech University, where he also excelled at baseball. But in basketball he was better than usual: He still holds Virginia Tech’s second-best in points and the all-time high in steals. For this reason, his number 30 shirt, the same number that his son Stephen wears, is retired.

After his rookie year in Utah, he was traded to Cleveland where he declared himself available for the expansion draft of a new but life-changing franchise for Curry: the Charlotte Hornets. There, Dell Curry forged his path playing 10 seasons and always being the key piece coming off the bench, which earned him the Best Sixth Man award in 1994. When he retired, he led in points (9,839) and triples (929) in all the history of the Hornets.

Grandmother:

Sonya Curry is a mom to two NBA stars and a state volleyball champion. Being an athlete herself, she instilled the spirit of sportsmanship in her children. According to her, helping her children become athletes was an achievement in itself. Since she already knew a thing or two about the sport, she was her children’s first coach. Her children started training at a very young age under the guardianship of their mother. Sonya helped them fix their basics, which would come in handy later in their respective careers. At one point, it was Sonya who encouraged her son Stephen Curry to focus on his basics when he was having trouble qualifying for the NBA team, ‘Golden State Warriors’. Thanks to his mother’s wise advice, Stephen Curry bounced back and was eventually selected into the team: the ‘Golden State Warriors’. A few years later, Seth also joined the team, but was then offered a place in ‘Sacramento Kings’, which he accepted.

Even though Canon’s father Stephen Curry was born in Ohio, he didn’t really grow up there. He, unlike LeBron, spent most of his youth in Charlotte, near his father Dell Curry, a pro player for the Hornets. The father, moreover, was not there to make up the numbers: 6th man of the year in 1994, he also finished as the most skillful 3-point player in the league in 1999. Sonya met her husband, Dell Curry while studying at Virginia Tech. Dell was a Virginia Tech basketball player and was once invited by Sonya’s coach to one of her games. They fell in love, married in 1988, and the same year they welcomed their son, Stephen Curry.

It was never easy for Sonya to be the wife of a star NBA player as they had to move around a lot. From their court, Sonya was always by his side, accompanying him to each of his matches. After their marriage, the family frequently traveled from Cleveland to Utah for Dell games. Sonya continued to accompany her for all her games until Seth was born in 1990. After the birth of their second son, Sonya finally settled down and focused on being a housewife and began to spend all his time raising his children.

After 33 years of marriage, Dell and Sonya, the parents of Stephen and Seth, have decided to end their union, and the reasons behind this separation are more than delicate. Indeed, the two camps accuse each other of deception, to the greatest dismay of the children. While the lawyers of Dell Curry and Seth’s mother confirmed that they are living a beautiful love story at the moment, Sonya Curry did not wish to reveal the identity of her new companion –  a former NFL player!

Stephen Curry’s mother, Sonya, played volleyball at a high level where she even won state level championships.

Stephen Curry’s mother went to Radford High School and by the time she graduated had won state level championships, playing volleyball and basketball. During her college days, Sonya preferred volleyball to basketball and played for the Virginia Tech Sports Club “Hokies” team. She played exceptionally well for her team and remained one of the star players throughout her time at college. While playing for the junior team, she served 57 aces in one particular season, which was the sixth-highest number of aces in Virginia Tech history. Sonya went on to achieve a record 69-70 score at the end of her fourth year.

Stephen Curry’s mother would go on to register her name for the All-Metro team and finally graduated with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Family Studies.

All we can say is that from the point of view of genetics and management, Canon W Jack Curry is all good.
