Adele woo-ed her fans all over the globe with her latest weight loss transformation. Dailyhawker.com says that the star has now lost about seven stones in total, which is a phenomenal achievement. The 32-year-old singer first debuted her slimmer body in the fall of 2019. She kept losing pounds during the holidays, even worrying some of the viewers that she was too thin in the paparazzi photos. Fans noted the tip-top form of her stint hosting ‘SNL’.
“I know I look different from the last time you saw me,” she joked during her opening monologue. “But, because of all the restrictions on COVID and travel bans, I had to travel light, and I could only bring half of me, and that is the half I chose.” The Brit reportedly lost nearly 50 pounds after hiring a personal trainer and adopting a diet for sirtfood. Adele is not the only one on board with a buzzy diet that focuses on foods that control metabolism, it is also The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister Pippa Middleton. The food plan was Google’s seventh-most-searched diet in 2019.
Back in February, Adele also woke up when she starred in Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 2020 Oscars, wearing a shimmering leopard print dress that showed off her enviable body. Polish TV host Kinga Rusin shared a picture of herself and Adele. She was seen wearing a body-hugging dress, stylized her hair in a curly updo and rocked dark eye makeup.
What is the Sirtfood diet?
The diet of sirtfood first originated in the United Kingdom from the nutritionists Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten. The diet focuses on sirtuins, or proteins in your body that specialize in cell health and metabolism, among other items. Sirtuins can be present in foods such as kale, extra virgin olive oil, buckwheat, matcha, blueberries and arugula. Sweet surprises on the menu include red wine, coffee, and dark chocolate. Food is not a sirtuin.
The diet is the flashiest claim to fame is that it will help you lose up to seven pounds a week. But it is not a cakewalk: for the first three days, eaters limit their consumption to just 1,000 calories a day, one sirtuin-packed meal and two green juices. It bumps up to 1,500 calories for the next four days when an extra meal is allowed. After that week, dietitians permit to consume as much sirtfood as they want with regular workouts.
These foods improve muscle development because they activate the skinny gene, which is said to imitate the effects of diet and exercise. Yet, other health experts are not so sure of this. Manhattan-based dietitian Martha McKittrick recently told The Post that she thinks the diet is ‘sketchy’. Grace Fjeldberg, a registered dietitian at the Mayo Clinic, said, “Not everyone will see Adele-like results.”
Adele’s Weight loss diet plan
Adele’s former personal trainer, Camila Goodis, told Lorraine Kelly that the star lowered her calorie intake and did regular workouts.
“She is working out, but I think 90 per cent of it is diet,” Camila said. “It is a good diet to shed weight. The first week is intense green juices and only 1,000 calories. She does not look too thin, she looks amazing.” When she was working with the star, she said, “I did not know it was her, and when she left, I thought oh, it looks a little like Adele. She looks amazing – she’s changed her lifestyle and diet.”
Camilla told The Sun how she was introduced to Adele at the home of Robbie Williams and Ayda Field. She revealed that she had trained Ayda for a long time and had also worked with Adele at the couple’s place. The trainer added that Adele was likely to give up processed food, fizzy drinks, and sugar.
Adele’s workout plan
Reportedly, The Hello singer was working with US trainer Dalton Wong who collaborated with Hollywood stars including Jennifer Lawrence to assist with her weight loss by using high-intensity exercises at home.
Adele posted a picture of herself with her 60’s ponytail hair in a nod to Sharon Stone’s famous Casino Ginger Rothstein character. Joking about her current workout routine, she said, “I used to cry, but now I’m sweating.” There have been a lot of compliments to Adele on her Instagram page lately, with one fan writing: “CONGRATULATIONS on your healthy weight/size!”. Another follower said, “Girl u look great.”
Back in 2017, the ‘Someone Like You’ singer hit back online trolls who compared her Grammy’s look to Shrek’s Princess Fiona. Adele said to her audience in Perth, Australia: “I wore this dress, right, everyone said I looked like Fiona. I don’t care. It was Givenchy couture! They can say what they want.” According to Metro, she also said, “I worked out. I’m a large lady and I like eating food very much, but I was working out twice a day to fit into that Givenchy dress because it was quite tight.”
How can one follow a Sirtfood diet?
This diet is performed in two stages. In the initial process lasts one week. It is important to reduce calories to 1000kcal for three days by eating three sirtfood green juices, such as kale, green tea and lemon, celery or parsley, and one meal rich in sirtfoods per day. The energy consumption from day 4 to 7 is raised to 1500 kcal. One can have two sirtfood green juices and two sirtfood-rich meals a day.
The second phase, called the repair phase, will last 14 days. And it is in this process that weight loss is likely to occur.
According to references, this diet is sustainable. Experts have also cited the fact that many of the sirtfoods are widely consumed in areas where people prefer to live the longest or so-called “blue zones,”. These locations include Greece, Japan, Costa Rica, Italy, and California.
Adele swears by taking sound sleep every day and believes it to be the key to a healthy lifestyle. Being a mother of one and having a proactive schedule that allows her to fly keeps the singer busy, but getting enough sleep has helped her make a difference. When you get your eyes shut, you combat tension, encourage muscles to relax, heal and recover, as well as process fat breakdown. Every adult should strive for an uninterrupted sleep period of 8 hours without failure.
