Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks

The 27-year-old Brunson is turning the tables for the New York Knicks. The team has been losing matches quite often and waiting for a winning streak for a very long time. For Knicks fans, he has come as a hope during these times. Jalen Brunson is the son of Rick Brunson, the former third-string point guard for the Knicks and John Chaney’s protégé, who had a journeyman career full of hustle, defense, and energy.

Rick’s failed 1999 finals squad and ambition for a title are imprinted in Jalen and his father’s role-playing heart. Rick’s agent, Leon Rose, and assistant coach, Tom Thibodeau, were constants on that final great Knicks squad when little Jalen was hopping around, strapped to his father’s hip during team workouts. Jalen is supported by these three men who can guide him and make his career.

He is one of the only players who has the luxury of understanding the history of the Knicks and helping the team reach winning levels again.
